About the Role
How do you keep the Netherlands powered? As a Grid Planning & Analysis Specialist, you help shape the future of the Dutch electricity grid. By analysing system developments, identifying bottlenecks, and developing grid and non-grid solutions, you contribute to a reliable, affordable, and future-proof energy system.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring future-proof grid development by assessing grid strategy alternatives and system development scenarios.
- Leading and coordinating grid planning and system studies to assess future system needs and identify constraints.
- Developing and maintaining regional and national grid visions and planning perspectives.
- Providing the analytical foundation for network investment decisions (TollGate 1).
- Performing grid calculations for investment decisions and assessing future system behavior.
- Contributing to harmonized grid development methodologies and planning standards.
Requirements
- A completed HBO or WO education in electrical engineering with technical knowledge of infrastructures and grid designs.
- Relevant, multi-year work experience in creating models for and analyzing grid designs using tools like PSS/E, PowerFactory, Vision, and Python.
- Strong analytical skills, quality assurance experience, and excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

Ensuring future-proof grid development by assessing grid strategy alternatives, system development scenarios and network expansion options.
Leading and coordinating grid planning and system studies to assess future system needs, identify constraints and evaluate potential network development pathways.
Developing and maintaining regional and national grid visions and planning perspectives.
Providing the analytical foundation for network investment decisions (TollGate 1).
Performing grid calculations for investment decisions and assessing the future behavior of the grid and total system.
Contributing to harmonized grid development methodologies, planning standards, and analytical frameworks.
Vereisten
A completed HBO or WO education in electrical engineering.
Demonstrable technical knowledge of infrastructures, grid designs, and experience with system studies.
Relevant, multi-year (preferably > 10 year) work experience in creating models and analyzing grid designs using PSS/E, PowerFactory, Vision and Python.
Strong analytical skills to perform problem analyses and assess solutions.
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
