You will work within one of Europe's leading infectious disease research teams, utilizing world-class surveillance and research data.
What are you going to do
- Develop and run computational models to study the spread of sexually transmitted infections like HIV, mpox, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, and hepatitis.
- Analyze sexual behavior data to map relevant networks within target populations.
- Evaluate intervention measures such as treatment, vaccination, and partner notification.
- Publish methodological advances in peer-reviewed scientific journals and collaborate across disciplines with epidemiologists, microbiologists, and policy makers.
What we are looking for
- A PhD in a quantitative or life sciences field (e.g., physics, applied mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics).
- Practical experience in infectious disease modeling and modern statistical methods, with proficiency in programming languages like R.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- A collaborative and adaptable mindset for working in multidisciplinary international teams.
